Stand-Up India Loan Name Mismatch in West Bengal
Stand-Up India helps SC and ST entrepreneurs and women start a new enterprise with a bank loan between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 1 crore. Because the loan depends on who you are, the bank checks two things carefully: your identity on Aadhaar, PAN and the bank account, and your eligibility proof, such as a caste certificate. For a company or firm, it also checks that SC, ST or women owners hold at least 51 percent, using the ownership records. A spelling difference in any of these can delay the loan. This page shows what to match first.

Stand-Up India Loan Name Mismatch (Quick Answer)
For a Stand-Up India loan, your name should match on Aadhaar, PAN, the bank account and your eligibility proof: the SC or ST certificate for that category, or your ID as a woman borrower. For a company or firm, the owners' names in the shareholding or partnership records must match their own ID, to show 51 percent SC, ST or women ownership. Correct the certificate or records before applying; for small differences, ask the bank whether it accepts an affidavit. Applying through the bank or the Stand-Up Mitra portal is free.

Stand-Up India Loan Basics: Rs 10 Lakh to Rs 1 Crore for Greenfield Projects
A district administration page describes Stand-Up India as bank loans of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore for greenfield projects, meaning a first venture in manufacturing, services or trading.
It is for SC or ST people and women aged 18 or above. For a non-individual enterprise, SC, ST or women must hold at least 51 percent of the ownership and control. The borrower must not be in default with any bank.
The same page says the scheme runs through all scheduled commercial bank branches, with handholding support and credit guarantee cover, and states its period as up to 31 December 2030.
Check with your bank for the current terms, as schemes are revised from time to time.
Stand-Up India KYC: Aadhaar, PAN and Bank Names Must Match
The bank checks your identity across Aadhaar, PAN and your bank account. If they differ, fix that first; see PAN and Aadhaar mismatch.
Then align the bank account; see name correction in a bank account.
For a small spelling difference, ask the bank whether it accepts an affidavit; see one and the same person affidavit.
SC or ST Caste Certificate From the SDO in the Same Name
For the SC or ST route, your caste certificate is your eligibility proof. In West Bengal it is issued by the SDO, and its name must match your Aadhaar and PAN.
If it differs, correct the certificate; see caste certificate name change. A father's name error on it is covered in father name correction in caste certificate.
Do not apply for a second certificate in a new spelling. Two certificates in two names cause more questions than one corrected certificate.
Women Borrowers With a Changed Surname: Maiden Name on Bank Papers
Women qualify regardless of caste. If your Aadhaar shows your married name but your bank account or business papers show your maiden name, carry the marriage certificate.
Bring records into one name before applying; see Aadhaar name change after marriage.
A woman SC or ST borrower whose caste certificate carries her father's family name uses the marriage certificate to link it to her married name.
Companies and Firms: 51 Percent SC, ST or Woman Ownership Records and Names
For a company, the shareholding of SC, ST or women owners is shown from the company's records. Each shareholder's name there should match their PAN. Directors' names in the DIN record should also match; see DIN director name change.
For a partnership firm, the deed shows each partner's share. If a woman partner's name changed, update the deed and the Registrar; see partnership firm name change.
Company and firm records are a CS, CA or advocate's work. We help only with the personal name proof.
Where to Apply for Stand-Up India: Bank Branch, SIDBI Portal or Lead District Manager
The district page lists three routes: directly at a bank branch, through the SIDBI Stand-Up India portal (Stand-Up Mitra), or through the Lead District Manager.
Applying is free. Be careful of anyone charging to get your loan sanctioned.
Smaller loans for existing businesses are covered under other schemes; see PM Mudra loan name mismatch and PMEGP loan name mismatch.
After the Loan: Udyam and GST Registration in the Same Name
Register the new enterprise on Udyam and, if needed, GST in the same name as your loan papers; see name change in Udyam and GST.
Take a trade licence from your civic body in the same name; see trade licence name change.
Keep the name consistent so later checks by the bank go smoothly.
