We read the GRSE careers page but could not find a published clause on name changes in the notices available to us. That does not mean there is no rule; it means you must read the full advertisement for your post on grse.in or jobapply.in before you apply.
What central PSUs commonly ask, and what other employers in West Bengal spell out, is a fair guide. SAIL's Durgapur Steel Plant asks for the name as in the Matriculation certificate, and accepts an original gazette, marriage certificate or affidavit for a changed name; see SAIL, IISCO and Durgapur Steel Plant name mismatch. So plan as if GRSE will check your form against your Class 10 certificate letter by letter, and have proof ready for any difference.
Which Name to Use in a GRSE Application: Your Class 10 Certificate Name

Do not switch to the Aadhaar spelling just because Aadhaar is the ID you use most. A form that matches neither your Class 10 nor your qualifying certificate gives the verifying officer two problems instead of one.
Marriage Certificate, Affidavit or Gazette for a GRSE Name Mismatch

Carry originals and self-attested copies of: your Class 10 certificate (and Madhyamik pass certificate for date of birth), qualifying certificates and marksheets, caste, EWS or PwBD certificate if claimed, experience certificates if the post needs them, a photo ID, your call letter and the printout of your online form.
Check every paper for the same spelling. A caste or EWS certificate in a different spelling is a common snag in West Bengal; correct it through the SDO before verification.
